Making a difference for Marie Curie

February 15, 2016

Garry McCann, Creative Director, is undertaking The Marie Curie Etape Caledonia on Sunday 8th May 2016. The 81 mile cycle route will start and finish in the village of Pitlochry, presenting riders with 1,196m of climbing through the stunning Scottish Highlands.

Garry has set himself a target of raising £300 for the work of Marie Curie and explains why he is doing this arduous cycle:

“There are three main reasons why I’m doing this! Firstly, my wife (twice), son and mother are all cancer survivors and thankfully now live happy & fulfilling lives. Secondly my sister-in-law, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, is going through the whole chemo/surgery/radiotherapy treatment process currently. Finally having friends and neighbours who have lost loved ones, they all received support from Marie Curie and similar organisations. It is important that the great work Marie Curie does is acknowledged as we try to beat cancer!”
